Our Team

  • Rebecca

Rebecca is the owner and founder of JPPC and the heart behind the care we provide. She handles most client communication and is deeply involved in every aspect of the business—from daily dog care and outings to transportation and grooming. With over a decade of professional experience in the dog industry, Rebecca’s work has ranged from commercial kennels to years of dog walking and pet sitting beginning in her teens.

Since founding JPPC in 2018, Rebecca has dedicated her time to ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and grooming. She has a passion for boarding selective, reactive, and dog-aggressive dogs, and is skilled at helping them feel secure. Through working with behaviorally challenging dogs, she discovered how much a confident and skilled caregiver can improve a dog’s experience. Rebecca has now completed over 400 hours of professional development, continues to expand her knowledge, and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Canine Behavior Counselor (CCBC).

  • Valerie

Valerie is a valued member of the JPPC team who provides dog care, transportation, and support during drop-offs and pick-ups. She is a work-from-home professional with a long career in healthcare, bringing 30 years of nursing experience, 18 years of dog ownership, and 6 years of hands-on dog boarding and handling experience to her role.

Her passion for behavior work began with her rescue dog, Rusty, who struggled with severe reactivity and anxiety. Helping him navigate the world sparked Valerie’s interest in behavior modification and laid the foundation for her extensive experiential knowledge. She is now working toward professional training credentials through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).

Valerie’s background as an RN—primarily in Newborn ICU—gives her a unique skill set for caring for dogs with medical needs. Her competencies include administering subcutaneous fluids, insulin and other medications, and monitoring dogs with chronic conditions. Her calm, attentive approach makes her a trusted caregiver for even our most medically complex guests.

  • Rachel

Rachel is the third member of the JPPC team and helps support daily dog care, playtimes, and enrichment. She also provides essential tech support and administrative help behind the scenes. Before entering the dog world, Rachel spent several years working professionally with horses, building a foundation of transferable skills in animal behavior and safe handling.

Her journey into dog care began in her teens while working at commercial boarding facilities, eventually leading her to begin boarding through Rover in 2017. That experience highlighted her love for the personalized, in-home style of care that JPPC prides itself on today. Rachel especially enjoys the work we do with reactive and selective dogs.

When she’s not with the dogs, Rachel keeps JPPC organized and running smoothly through web design, systems management, and administrative support. While clients may not see her often, her work is woven into every part of the business—helping ensure that our team, and our dogs, stay consistently well-supported.

  • Doug

Doug is the newest member of the JPPC team and plays a key role in daily dog care, with a special focus on structured walks, assisting in dog introductions, and parallel walks. He has owned dogs for many years and has spent the past two years learning the ins and outs of our business alongside Rebecca. During that time, he has worked closely with our personal dogs, Peachy and Drew, as well as our foster dogs. He is now stepping into a larger role to support our boarding clients as well.

Doug has a natural talent for helping nervous dogs feel safe and comfortable in new environments. His calm, patient approach makes him a great fit for dogs who need a little extra reassurance, while his love of high-energy play — especially a good game of tug — helps bring out confidence and joy in even the shyest dogs.

As JPPC continues to grow, Doug’s presence allows us to offer more hands-on support and individualized care to every dog who stays with us. His calm demeanor, reliability, and genuine passion for the dogs make him a strong addition to our team.
